Tameer Information Desk for Entrepreneurs (TIDE)

Tameer Information Desk for Entrepreneurs (TIDE)

Taking the program to the next level, Tameer has introduced an exciting initiative for students nationwide, with the launch of Tameer Information Desk for Entrepreneurs (TIDE), in collaboration with educational institutes. This desk is driven by student bodies to promote entrepreneurship amongst them.

To make the program more valuable, a unique Internship Program is made part of the initiative, a 6 weeks hand on project through an exclusive ToT module developed by Tameer and Institute of Business Management (IoBM). After attending the ToT, the students further conduct Tameer workshops in the communities. This is mandatory for students for their degree programs by The Higher Education Commission (HEC).

Tameer tremendously increased its outreach by conducting a record number of 24 workshops in 5 weeks period of time, and trained 698 youngsters in 16 diversified communities. The target audience includes a highly diversified group of doctors, craft workers, students, teachers, housemaids and Scouts in Karachi, Thatta and outskirts.

The Institute of Business Management (IoBM) and other implementing partners AHAN, Agha Khan Network, The Citizen Foundation, SOS Village, PIA Boy Scouts Association and many others played a significant role in the success of the program by offering logistic support.

TIDE Internship Program is yet another aptly designed initiative by Shell Tameer to seek, polish and nurture talent of Pakistani youth. With Human Resource strength in Pakistan, students are blessed with tremendous abilities and intellectual curiosity to learn, a unique program like this helps them to realize their potential and come forward as the driving force of the future.
